Alaska Adventure!

Saltwater Halibut Fishing

We can arrange custom  fishing charters for the world’s largest King Salmon, Silver and Red (sockeye) Salmon, Halibut or Rainbow and Dolly Varden Trout or other activities to be enjoyed during your Alaskan stay. Popular fishing trips include salmon fishing on the world famous Kenai River or the nearby Kasilof, halibut fishing in Cook Inlet & Kachemak Bay, or trophy rainbow trout fishing. We have freezers available to store your catch until you leave for home. We will assist you in preparing your fish for shipping to your final destination.

The Kenai River is famous for the many trophy sized king salmon that are caught by sports fishermen each year. The season runs from mid-May through July. Peak periods are generally early to mid-June and mid-late July, although large fish are caught throughout the run. The world record (97 1/4 lbs.) was taken in mid-May. Silver salmon run from late July to mid-October with an early run peak in August and late run peak in September. Longmere Lake Lodge can arrange a fishing package with local, professional guides. All guides are bonded and licensed with the U.S. Coast Guard.

Float Trips

Float Trips - For the real touch of Alaska, enjoy floating the majestic Kenai River in a small drift boat with an experienced Alaskan guide.

The Kenai is a large, beautiful river that has produced many large king salmon. However, fishing on the lower Kenai River is far from a wilderness experience. Much of the lower river is developed and due to its popularity, you should expect to see many other boats and fishermen. We will do our best to give you a memorable and successful fishing experience; however, fish and luck are unpredictable.

Fly in fishing day tripsFly-in fishing trips can be arranged. On these fishing trips you will enjoy beautiful scenery, glaciers, Alaska Brown Bear, etc. For the more active individuals are guided bird watching trips, mountain hiking and clam digging.

Fall brings the hunting season beginning with the majestic Alaska Dall sheep season (August 10) followed by moose and caribou seasons. We can recommend excellent Alaska guides to assist you in getting that momentous trophy or simply game meat for the freezer. E-mail bblodge@ptialaska.net for more information.
